Vegan Supplement Manufacturing Without Animal-Derived Ingredients

Vegan claims fail when a capsule shell, glidant or colour contains animal material. Gelatin, carmine, animal-derived magnesium stearate and shellac are the usual culprits. ZOOMSHEAL runs dedicated vegan lines in our GMP-certified Guangzhou factory, where every raw material is screened for animal origin, GMO status and allergens.

We produce vegan capsules in HPMC and pullulan, pectin and tapioca-starch gummies, pea, brown rice and hemp protein powders, fish-free algae DHA softgels, plus vegan softgels and drops. Volumes run from 5,000 bottles to private label programs for brands, distributors, pharmacy chains and DTC sellers in Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Why Brands Choose Our Vegan Supplement Production

HPMC and Pullulan Instead of Gelatin
Animal-free capsules are made from HPMC or pullulan, replacing gelatin on every line. Both are plant-derived, suit vegan and vegetarian labels, and can carry powders, oils or micro-pellets in 30 to 120 count fills.
Pectin and Tapioca Vegan Gummies
We mould pectin and tapioca-starch gummies without gelatin or carmine, coloured with fruit and vegetable concentrates. Sugar-free, low-sugar and organic versions come in fruity or sour profiles from 20,000-piece runs.
Plant Protein and Algae Omega-3
Pea, brown rice and hemp proteins are blended for complete amino acid profiles, while algae DHA replaces fish oil in softgels and drops. Both support vegan, non-GMO and allergen-aware claims with certified raw materials.
Allergen, GMO and Certification Control
Every batch is screened for the 14 major allergens and verified non-GMO, with dedicated equipment and cleaning records. We prepare the files to apply for third-party vegan certification such as The Vegan Society or EVU.

Our Vegan Contract Manufacturing Process

01
Consultation & Brief
We review your vegan concept, target actives, dosage form and market, then recommend a plant-based formula and format that fits your volume and vegan claim.
02
Formula & Pilot Sample
Our team develops the vegan formula, selects HPMC, pectin or algae ingredients and produces a pilot batch so you can review taste, texture and appearance before approval.
03
Quotation & Approval
Once your vegan pilot sample is approved, we freeze the plant-based specification, HPMC or pectin format and allergen controls, confirm MOQ, packaging and lead time, and release the final quotation with a proforma invoice.
04
Production & Blending
Plant-based premixes are blended in a vegan-only environment, then filled, moulded or pressed on dedicated lines with in-process weight and potency checks.
05
Quality Control & Testing
Every batch is tested for active content, uniformity, disintegration and microbiology, and screened for allergens and animal DNA before the certificate of analysis is released.
06
Packaging & Export Shipping
Finished vegan capsules, gummies and drops are bottled or pouched, sealed, labelled to your artwork and carton-packed, then documented and shipped by air, sea or express to your destination market.

Quality Control for Vegan Claims

A vegan claim is only as strong as the weakest raw material, so our programme screens for animal origin at every step. Incoming ingredients are checked against their certificate of analysis and supplier declarations, while finished batches are tested for active content, weight uniformity, disintegration, moisture and microbial safety.

Production runs in a GMP-certified facility in Guangzhou following FDA, NSF and cGMP standards, with HACCP-based controls covering allergen handling, blending, moulding and packaging. We keep a dedicated vegan line, documented cleaning and non-GMO records so your third-party vegan certification audit is straightforward.

Vegan Supplement Manufacturing FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for vegan supplements?+
Vegan HPMC capsules open at 5,000 bottles, plant protein tubs at 3,000 units, algae DHA softgels at 10,000 bottles and pectin gummies at 20,000 pieces. Loose vegan premix starts at 25 kg. If you are trialling a new plant-based SKU, ask about a smaller starter batch.
Can you manufacture supplements under my own vegan brand?+
Yes. ZOOMSHEAL manufactures as your private label and OEM/ODM partner, so your trademark lands on the label, carton and batch certificate of analysis. The finished vegan capsules or gummies are yours, while the plant-based formula, dosage form and packaging come from us.
How do you guarantee the products are truly vegan?+
We use dedicated vegan equipment, HPMC and pullulan capsules instead of gelatin, pectin instead of carmine and algae oil instead of fish oil. Incoming materials carry vegan declarations, and finished batches are screened for allergens and animal DNA before release.
Do you offer vegan gummies without gelatin?+
Yes. Our vegan gummies use a pectin or tapioca-starch base with no gelatin or shellac. We colour them with fruit and vegetable concentrates instead of carmine, and can produce sugar-free, low-sugar or organic versions from 20,000-piece runs.
Can you help me get a Vegan Society or EVU certificate?+
We are not the certification body, but we prepare the documentation you need to apply, including raw material declarations, non-GMO statements, allergen data and production records. Many of our formulas are built to Vegan Society and EVU requirements from the start.
Which certifications does your factory hold?+
The Guangzhou site is certified to GMP, FDA standards, NSF standards, cGMP, HACCP and ISO 22000. Each vegan batch is issued with a certificate of analysis and specification sheet, and organic or halal plant-based lines can use certified raw material.
Can you help with shipping and customs documents?+
We do. Vegan supplement shipments travel with a commercial invoice, packing list, batch COA, certificate of origin and any required health certificates, dispatched by air, sea or express. We can align with your nominated forwarder or introduce you to one.
What payment terms do you offer?+
A first vegan order typically needs 30% down, with the 70% balance paid before the goods ship, settled by T/T or another agreed method. Repeat plant-based customers can discuss easier terms. We invoice in USD unless you ask for another currency.
